How I Keep Mine

Housing:

Keep your grindal worm culture in any kind of see through plastic container (takeaway containers work well. Plenty of ventilation using small holes on the lid.

When your grindal worm culture starts to smell, then you'll need to feed them off or start new grindal worm cultures.

Substrate:

I keep my grindal worm culture on damp leaf litter with a little peat moss or coco coir mixed in.

If you notice your grindal worms climbing up the sides of your container and on the lid, this is a sign that your substrate is too wet and/or your grindal worm culture is starting to crash. If this happens, just start a new culture.

Temperature:

Grindal worms breed very well at lower temperatures of around 20-25ºC / 68 - 77ºF

Humidity:

Grindal worm cultures will thrive at a humidity of around 20-40%

Food:

To feed your grindal worm culture, just add fish flakes or pre soaked dog/cat biscuits
